Privacy Policy for Gyropad

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Gyropad ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use it.

Who we are

Gyropad is developed by Sharper Studio. You can contact us at support.sharper@gmail.com.

What Gyropad does

Gyropad turns your Android device into a steering wheel and gamepad for racing games on a Windows PC. It reads your device's motion sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer) and your on-screen touch input, and sends them to the Gyropad PC companion program running on your own computer, over a local Wi-Fi network or a USB cable that you set up yourself.

Information we collect

We collect no personal data ourselves. Gyropad has no user accounts, no analytics, and no servers of our own. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us.

Specifically:

We do not ask for, and cannot access, your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, or files.

The app does show advertising, and the advertising is not ours. What that involves is set out in the next section.

Advertising

Gyropad is free, and advertising is how it is paid for. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob. There are two places you may see one:

To select and measure those ads, Google may collect and process information from your device, including:

This information goes to Google, not to us. We receive only anonymous, aggregated reports: how many ads were shown and what they earned. We cannot identify you from them.

Google's handling of this data is governed by its own policies:

Your choices

You can change your mind about advertising at any time:

Network access

Gyropad uses the internet for two separate things, and they do not mix. Communication with the Gyropad PC program stays entirely on your own local network or USB cable and never reaches the wider internet. The advertising described above does connect to Google's servers; that is the only traffic the app sends beyond your own network.

Children's privacy

Gyropad is not directed at children. It is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will act on it.

Data security

Gyropad holds no personal data on any server, because it has no servers. Data sent between your phone and your PC travels only across your own local network or USB cable.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
